About us
Our name is a family name, translated.
Rothschuh is a German surname that literally means "red shoe." In Nicaragua, it's a name with history.
It's our grandmother's name, Lylleana Rothschuh Tablada, someone we hold in deep respect and affection. And it's the name of other distinguished people from our hometown who earned great respect, such as Guillermo Rothschuh Tablada, Deyfilia Rothschuh Tablada, and Yolanda Rothschuh Tablada, among others.
A name like that isn't used lightly. When the two of us decided to start a software company, we didn't brainstorm a name on a whiteboard: we used the one we already had. RedShoe is simply Rothschuh in English.
We don't write poems or books like others who carry our name; we write software. But putting that name on the door commits us to the same thing as anyone who has carried it proudly: doing things right.
In practice, that means a system isn't done when it looks good in a demo. It's done when it works at seven on a Monday morning with the business at full speed. It means we'd rather tell you something isn't worth building than bill you for it. And it means that when you write to us, you hear back from the people doing the work.
We're a small, bilingual team based in Nicaragua, with 20 years of combined experience between the two of us. We work with businesses here, across the region, and with US companies that value having a great team, even if it's an hour or two away.
We build custom software, SaaS, websites, apps, and the infrastructure that keeps them running. Some of those systems are our own: we use them, we maintain them, and you can try them right here.
If you trust us with your project, it goes out with our name on it. Literally.
