Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10/3/2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to remember something between visits, such as the language you chose.

2. Our approach: only what's necessary

On redshoe.dev and its subdomains (the "Sites"), we don't use advertising, social media, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics tool, Umami, works without cookies and without storing anything on your device, and it respects your browser's Do Not Track signal. We only use cookies the Sites need to work and to remember your preferences.

3. Cookies we use

NameSet byPurposeDurationType
rs-localeRedShoeRemember the language you chose with the language selector1 yearFunctional
__Secure-redshoe-admin.session_tokenRedShoeKeep the session in our internal panel, admin.redshoe.dev (RedShoe administrators only)Up to 8 hours; it ends on its own after 2 hours of inactivityStrictly necessary
redshoe-admin-langRedShoeRemember the language of the internal panel (RedShoe administrators only)1 yearFunctional
__cf_bmCloudflareTell people apart from bots and protect the Sites30 minutesStrictly necessary

The language cookie is only saved when you pick a language with the selector; opening a link in another language doesn't change it. Our store is on the same site (redshoe.dev), so there are no other preference cookies.

We also use browser storage (not cookies, and it never leaves your device):

NamePurposeDuration
rs-themeRemember whether you prefer the light or dark theme (local storage)Until you delete it
rs-boot-introRemember that you already saw the loading screen during this visit (session storage)Until you close the tab
rs-hero-introRemember that you already saw the opening animation during this visit (session storage)Until you close the tab
rs-cookie-noticeRemember that you closed the cookie notice, so we don't show it again (local storage)Until you delete it

If we later enable Cloudflare's anti-spam check (Turnstile) or payments through Stripe, those services may use their own technical cookies. We'll update this table before enabling them.

4. How to control them

You can view, block, or delete cookies in your browser settings:

  • If you delete the rs-locale cookie or the rs-theme item, we'll simply go back to your automatically detected language and theme.
  • If you block the strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the Sites may not work, or Cloudflare may ask you for an extra check.

Because our website uses exclusively technical, functional, and strictly necessary security cookies for navigation and fraud prevention (with no advertising cookies and no third-party cross-site tracking), the applicable laws of the United States and international directives allow their use without requiring prior consent through blocking (opt-in). We provide an informational notice when you enter the site to ensure full transparency about how it works.

6. Changes

If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this policy and its date.

7. Language

This policy is available in Spanish and English. If there is any discrepancy, conflict, or difference in interpretation between the two versions, the English version prevails and governs for all purposes.
